"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up."-Pablo Picasso

I started out working in museums and galleries

education departments. It wasn't until working for awhile creating ways for people to connect with art that I realized what I loved doing was teaching artistic process. So I made the transition to teaching Art to primary and secondary school students.

Through the transition process I got my certification through TeachNOW! an amazing alternative certification program that teaches future teachers how to integrate technology and create exciting learning environments in their classrooms. I also was able to complete 7 months of student teaching at Edmund Burke School in Washington, D.C. There I was able to learn from some of the best and most innovative teachers I've met. Through them I was able to learn how to utilize my passion of teaching in the best ways.
